Join Arron Collins-Thomas for an immersive weekend exploring Qigong and the five elements.
Like all seasons, Autumn is an important time to nourish and tend to ourselves. As the energy shifts from summer’s Yang to winter’s Yin we naturally slow down, and through supportive practices we can release what is no longer needed so we may rest and regenerate in the darker months. Using the five elements theory, Arron - personal trainer, lifestyle coach and founder of TONIQ - has designed a unique retreat that, whilst focusing on the seasonal element of metal, also encompasses the other elements of fire, earth, water and wood.
With over eight years of experience within Chinese Medicine and Eastern wellness, Arron has created a balanced and energising retreat that helps you to connect with yourself, nature and others. Alongside Qigong and supportive breathwork there will be morning swims in the tranquil lake, wild foraging, fireside cooking, forest dining and plenty of time to enjoy the 170 acres of ancient woodlands or simply rest in one of the cosy nooks of the 18th century farmhouse. The menu for this retreat has been specially curated with the principles of TCM, focusing on gut health, seasonal ingredients and nutrient dense meals.
As 42 Acres is a regenerative farm, 80% of their hyper-local and organic ‘42 Mile’ menu is either grown onsite, wild foraged or sourced from the surrounding area. Complimenting the physical practices we will learn more about ancient ways of eating and how to care for your body through wild and homegrown foods.
