Currently operating in the UK, we are home to a stunning farmhouse estate alongside an experimental, organic working farm in Somerset. Role Description

You will be supporting the Guest Experience team to deliver an amazing guest experience. You will combine your housekeeping skills with customer services experience to support us in making sure our spaces are ready for guests by cleaning and dressing all guest accommodation to a high standard along with playing a part in delivering our guest services where needed, including check-ins and welcoming guests, supporting the front of house team during events, and supporting guests during their stay.

You will be responding to the housekeeping needs of the 42 Acres community including guest accommodation, welfare facilities and resident accommodation. Together with the team, you’ll make sure everyone is looked after and feels at home and that guests value the role that you play in their life changing experiences. In this role you will develop an understanding of what it takes to prepare for guests to arrive, to hold them while they stay and what it requires to keep services and spaces meeting and exceeding expected standards along with supervising the team to do the same.

You will be reporting to the House Manager and working alongside the hospitality team. Full training will be provided.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Operational (70%) You will be:

  • responsible for delivering an exceptional housekeeping service
  • ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to
  • supporting the House Manager with the overall operational function
  • participating in guest services and front of house activities when required
  • Liaising with contractors and team members to ensure the smooth deliver of the service

2. Design, Deliver, Develop (20%) You’ll be:

  • Supporting the team to deliver an exceptional service and we welcome ideas and suggestions that might improve the services we provide
  • Working to maintain our positive environmental impact
  • Using your leadership skills to support the team to be the best you can be
  • Ensuring the team adheres to health and safety regulations and can respond to any changes and innovations

3. Document & Report (10%) You will be supporting with:

  • Documentation and admin requirements
  • Recording and adhering to health and safety requirements What would support both you & use
  • Previous housekeeping experience (essential) – ideally in the luxury hospitality market (desirable)
  • Practical, hands on and willingness to jump in and help where necessary
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and move with speed and efficiency
  • Confident and able to communicate clearly with guests and colleagues
  • Interest in hospitality and customer service including eco hospitality
  • Happy to be outside and helping on the land when needed
  • The ability to work flexible hours / days and weekends
  • The legal right to work in the UK
  • A fluent grasp of written and spoken English

Experience Required

At least 2 years working in housekeeping
