About this event

Come and immerse yourself in the world of outdoor mushroom growing. Nestled amidst the beauty of a nature reserve and agri-wilding estate. Embark on a journey of inner and outer discovery through the enchanting world of mushrooms.

As part of this course we have included 3 hours each day to inoculate logs in our woodland mushroom farm and embed your knowledge. This allows us to keep our course price low and stay accessible. Cultivate a brighter, healthier future.

Includes:

  • Mushroom identification, materials, key identifying features, and building up your knowledge safely.
  • Touching the Earth and elemental meditation
  • Growing native mushroom strains
  • Sustainable mushroom growing set-ups for micro to medium scale & equipment
  • The skills of medicine-making, dual extraction tincture
  • Medicinal mushrooms and their health benefits
  • Edible mushrooms, shiitake, reishi, coral tooth fungi, lion's mane, birch polypore, turkey tail.
  • Re-introduction of native species, wild-tending
  • How to harvest, extract and prepare medicinal mushrooms for food

Facilitator:

Tasha Elena Stevens- Vallecillo is a mixed race English, Central American woman with a Buddhist Spiritual practice. She has been the visionary of many projects and she is a true creative force working with community, wild food, wild tending, food production and farming to address some of the core issues of our time.

Her work is rooted in continuous learning and intuitive feeling, to explore and continuously develop methodologies and product development, creating food systems that work in harmony with nature through developing agri-wilding landscapes and products that draw on ancient or indigenous understandings of land,food and medicine coupled with new technologies or capabilities.

Please choose from a full 3-day ticket, a 1-day ticket for Tuesday, or a 2-day ticket for Tuesday and Wednesday.

  • Explore 173 acres of regenerative estate and nature reserve
  • Visit our pioneering agriwilding projects
  • Swim in our 7-acre lake (at your own risk). Please bring your own swim wear and towels
  • Take our row boat/ SUP boards/ canoes
