The Opportunity:
The Steward of Inspired Growth will hold a panoramic view of all income-generating activity, integrating business development, marketing, sales, brand stewardship, and community engagement into a cohesive ecosystem of regenerative growth. You’ll be responsible for guiding the expansion of our offerings while ensuring we remain rooted in purpose and aligned with the deeper values of healing, ecology, and collective well-being.
This is not a typical sales or marketing role. It is a calling for someone who can carry the business side of 42 Acres with inspiration and integrity—someone who can develop and maintain strategic and soulful relationships while growing the revenue in alignment with our values.
About 42 Acres:
42 Acres is a wellbeing retreat centre, nature reserve, and regenerative estate located in the heart of Somerset. We have a clear philosophy, focused on biodiversity, inner work, and collaboration, in service of human and planetary wellbeing. It is a place where food is grown and foraged onsite, and its suppliers are local and ethical. With a strong philosophy to deliver unforgettable experiences for every guest, 42 Acres runs almost exclusively on renewable energy and much of the almost 200-acre setting is dedicated to nature restoration and wildlife.
As we deepen our roots and expand our offerings, we are seeking a conscious leader to steward the business development of 42 Acres—someone who is as attuned to the rhythms of the land and community as they are to the flow of partnerships, bookings, and brand presence.
The Role:
Key Accountabilities include:
- Identify and cultivate key accounts and corporate partnerships aligned with the purpose.
- Develop offerings for specific markets (e.g. retreats, training, regenerative gatherings).
- Identify trends and shape new opportunities that resonate with emerging needs.
- Build relationships with corporate clients, organisations and aligned partners.
- Work with the Bookings Manager to track availability calendars, booking settings, pricing updates, and guest messages.
- Drive revenue across the whole business to meet sales targets.
- Maintain thoughtful follow-ups and nurture leads over time.
- Be responsible for maximising overall room revenue, ensuring there is effective return and occupancy.
- Oversee implementation and management of CRM system
- produce monthly sales reports
- Oversee our marketing, advertising, content creation and social media strategy to ensure sales targets are reached, including allocating an estimated marketing budget.
- Translate the essence of 42 Acres into digital and print mediums that feel alive and true.
- Align marketing outputs with seasonal rhythms and the pulse of the land.
- Forge relationships with event organizers, community builders, content creators, and aligned platforms.
- Co-create collaborations that bring mutual benefit and wider impact.
- Build partnerships that expand both reach and depth.
- Protect and evolve the 42 Acres brand with integrity and clarity.
- Ensure all external communications reflect our ethos of care, presence, and authenticity.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to maintain brand coherence.
- Foster meaningful engagement with the 42 Acres community (both online and in-person).
- Create bridges between the land, the people who come here, and the wider world.
- Host or support events that deepen relationships with our broader ecosystem.
Who You Are:
- A creative strategist with deep listening skills and business fluency.
- Comfortable in both the boardroom and the forest.
- A bridge-builder who sees possibilities others don’t.
- Experienced in sales, marketing and partnerships—but looking to apply that experience in a more regenerative, soulful context.
- Grounded, values-driven, and able to take initiative with grace and accountability.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in sales, business development and marketing, ideally within the hospitality and wellbeing space
- experience of building relationships with corporate clients, organisations and aligned partners.
- A strong appreciation for purpose-led or nature-based enterprises.
- Excellent communication and relational skills.
- Leadership experience in a regenerative organisation
- Comfort with both high-level vision and hands-on implementation.
- A desire to work in rhythm with nature and people.
