About this event

Join The Happy Pear, Dave and Stephen Flynn, for a few days of fun and inspiration! Coming from Greystones, County Wicklow, Ireland, community is at the heart of everything The Happy Pear do.

This retreat will celebrate all the things The Happy Pear love so much - community, laughter, yoga, movement, delicious plant powered meals made with produce from the 42 Acres farm, with cooking demos by Dave & Steve.

How to cook aubergine and other vegetables with vegan cooking tips from The Happy Pear - Vegan Food & Living

There will be workshops on how to cook more plant-based foods, and talks on how we stay vibrantly happy and healthy — all while leaving time to enjoy delicious food and simply relax together in the beautiful gardens, forests and land of 42 Acres!

Room Options

We have a range of comfortable rooms to suit a variety of budgets. Every room has beautiful views over either our woodland or estate with snug beds for peaceful sleeping. There are reading lights, woollen blankets and space to store your belongings.

Our bathrooms are modern with responsibly sourced toiletries and soft towels. Plus all our buildings are eco-powered and we have boot rooms for your wellies and coats.

We are also offering a limited amount of BYOT (bring your own tent) spaces for people wanting to camp.

Tickets are sold per room. If you'd like to share your room with a lover or friend there is an additional sharing fee of £150.00 to cover workshops and meals. Add this to your ticket when you book.

About the hosts

The Happy Pear

Dave & Steve, identical twins, started The Happy Pear as a veg shop in 2004 with a dream of creating a happier, healthier world and to inspire you to eat more veg!! The Happy Pear now consists of that same veg shop, a cafe and sourdough bakery, 6 international bestselling cookbooks & a 4 acre regenerative organic farm. The Happy Pear is a brand that represents delicious plant based food, spending time in nature, connecting with friends and family, building community and having a laugh!!

42 Acres

42 Acres is a wellbeing retreat centre, nature reserve, and pioneering agri-wilding site in rural Somerset set in 173 Acres of rewilded landscapes, ancient woodland, and a 7-acre lake. Our vision is to live in harmony with self, nature, and others. We're exploring ways to take care of and live in conversation with our sacred world. Our experiences are an invitation to ask deep questions, to find meaning, to feel alive, revived, and inspired. Ultimately they are gatherings of reconnection and remembering.
