Terms and Conditions

Payment

We take full payment at the time of booking. Any additional catering add-ons or experiences will be settled automatically on departure using the same payment card.

Number of Guests

Do not have more people in the space than the stated maximum occupancy.

Food Allergies

Please notify us of any allergies in the notes at the time of booking. We may not be able to cater for all allergies without advance notice.

Cancellation Policy

42 Acres reserves the right to cancel a booking that has been reserved or booked. Should this event occur, we will endeavour to inform you as soon as we can and outline options available. 

If you would like to cancel a booking we ask that you notify us in the maximum amount of time possible. We charge a cancellation fee of 2% of the booking value to cover the transaction costs from our payment gateway.

Cancelled bookings are fully refundable (less our cancellation fee) up to 10 days prior to arrival and 50% refundable 3 days prior to arrival.

Any cancellations or no shows made after this time will be charged for the entire stay on the card provided at booking

Outdoor Experiences

You are welcome to wild swim in the lake at your own risk.  Please do your research before jumping in – there are dangers to be considered and there are no lifeguards on duty. Always swim with a buddy and only enter and exit from the jetty. A life buoy ring can be found at the side of the jetty. 

If using the sauna please ensure you have read the guidance provided beforehand and only use it with a buddy.

Babies 

If you would like to bring your young children and babies, we have a couple of travel cots available to hire. Please leave a note on your booking if you require the use of one of the cots.

Lost Property  

We will post any lost property back to guests but postage and packaging will be charged and 42 Acres will not be liable for any lost property.

Dog Policy  

We welcome one well-behaved dog in Library BarnDeer Cottage and Rettig. Please ensure;
– You keep your dog off all furniture and outside of the bedrooms.
– Clean muddy paws before entering any buildings using your own towels. 
– Pick up any mess. Our gardens are not toilets, we charge £50 for any fouling.
– Keep your dog under control and on a lead at times as we are surrounded by farms and wildlife, including rare species.
– Keep your dog out of the Market Garden, Micro Mushroom Farm and especially the Sacred Bee Garden. 

In the unlikely event that your dog damages anything you will be charged. If you are bringing your dog please let us know in the notes of your booking. We recommend you bring: 
– dog bed/blankets 
– dog towels 
– dog bowls 
– biodegradable dog poo bags 
– food & treats

Smoking

In accordance with legislation no smoking is permitted in any of our buildings.

Care of The Property

During your stay we ask that you take good care of your accommodation and leave the space in the same condition of cleanliness and tidiness as you found it.

Please secure the building on departure (lock doors, extinguish fires, turn off all lights and taps).  

Inform us immediately of any damage found on arrival. You will be liable for the reasonable cost of replacement or repair for any damage, missing items, extraordinary cleaning costs, late departure for which your group are responsible.

Electric Car Charging Point

The use of the electric car charging point is for the guests staying at Monk’s Hatch only.

Termination of Stay

We may ask you to leave if you or members of your group are believed to be causing a nuisance to the other guests or are not treating the property and land with respect.

Any celebration, party, corporate event or ceremony must have had written permission before booking. All bookings are for the purpose of a self-catered holiday rental only.

Building Access

We may need access to the building to make necessary repairs, maintenance and/or inspections during your stay. Prior notice will be given to you wherever possible and privacy will be respected at all times.

Complaints

We really hope you have a wonderful experience at 42 Aces. If any problems arise during your stay please let us know immediately where we endeavour to deal with it promptly. Claims for compensation cannot be considered after the stay has ended if there was no such prior notification.

Privacy Policy

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any third parties.

Data Protection

Personal information provided by guests is stored securely in the 42 Acres records system and will be used solely for the retreat purpose. It will not be passed on to anyone else.
